Compared to the Labrador, he is slightly bigger in stature, and has a very different personality. A Chesapeake is a very devoted dog, and is totally loyal to his owner and family.

Julie had a Penrose Chesapeake some years ago, as well as Chesabay Carroway in the 1990s. She has judged the breed many times before, most recently at the Club’s Championship show in 2019.
