Here's what parents can expect at their first WIC appointment.

Eligible for both CalFresh and WIC

WIC — Eat Fish, It's good for you!
WEBFish are nutritious and most are very safe to eat. Fish have protein and healthy fats, called omega-3s, which are not found in other meats. Omega-3s are good for your heart and brain. The nutrients in fish are especially important as your baby develops during pregnancy, throughout breastfeeding, and as your young child grows.
Caring for Yourself
WEBEating a diet with a variety of colors, textures, and foods may help you feel better, ease stress, anxiety, and depression. Eat often and include more foods like fruits, vegetables, fish, lower fat dairy, whole grains, beans, and legumes. WIC provides nutritious foods for up to 6 months following your loss. Protein to repair tissues in your body.
